Archival Climbers

Climbing was my first love, from age 8 onwards, so I'm always pulled by images like these, from Bob Kaspar's excellent climbing CV. For more climbers, check out Doug Scott and some other mountaineers who have appeared on Archival Clothing.

I'm digging this fellow's carabiner rappelling set-up.

Oh man, if you want to see some old climbing gear, check out North Face. It's an instant play movie on Netflix right now, if that's your thing, and it's a damn good movie to boot.

Great photos, I love vintage climbing shots as well as old gear.

By the way, The North Face movie was very good, I saw it in the theater when it came out. Sadly I missed the 180 Degrees South movie.

Dang I still have my day pack from that vintage and 2 sets of Fires when they were the only game in town.
