Archival Release - Archival Zip Tote

We're pleased to announce the release of our new Archival Zip Tote.  The Zip Tote is a favorite companion for work and travel. Our tote comes with a double sided zipper for security and easy access and a wide mouth that fits tablets and small laptops.  Made in Oregon in our favorite 18 ounce dry duck canvas that's both durable and water-resistant. 

The Zip Tote is built from the highest quality materials including sturdy #8 cotton duck (18 oz), Horween leather, YKK zippers and mil spec webbing from the UK.  Edges are bound in waxed cotton tape and all stress points are reinforced.  Meets TSA carry-on limits.

Release - Archival Zip Pouches

We love using these simple zip pouches to corral our accessories, pens and pencils, or small essentials within a larger bag. It creates order and keep things neat.

The small size is great as a pencil pouch or for your lighters and knives when camping.
The medium size is perfect for securing a small device with chargers and cords.
And the largest pouch fits an iPad perfectly, though it's also great for keeping a notepad out of harm's way when hiking or hunting.

Made of stout, water-resistant 18 ounce cotton duck, and a burly #5 Ideal zipper.
Inside seam is taped.

New Release: Archival Dopp Kit

It's important to keep your grooming products corralled when traveling, but most dopp kits end up complicated, bulky, and heavy. The Archival Dopp is simple, spacious, and folds up to nearly nothing when not full. Featuring a smooth brass zipper and a handle made of our beloved British military webbing, big enough to fit over a doorknob. Opens very wide for easy access.

The Archival Dopp is constructed from the highest quality materials: waxed canvas (10 oz), Horween leather tab, IDEAL zippers, and thread are of US origin. Webbing is sourced from the UK. All seams are bound in our own US-made waxed cotton bias tape.

Archival Update (8/9/2010)

A few updates on archival projects. Tom and I went up to Portland on Friday to discuss plans for an upcoming waxed cotton jacket. We're working with a clothing manufacturer who also makes traditional letterman jackets, vintage MLB apparel and dresses for a recent Project Runway winner.

Future A.C. show banner?

Since Tom is moving to New York for grad school, we're trying to wrap up as many production issues before he departs. High on our list was our need to source zippers for our jacket and future bags. We visited the Riri rep in her home in Portland to choose our zipper size, finish and features. Later this month, Tom will make final decision about tape color at the Riri office in NYC (located, of all places, in the Empire State building).
